Research on Dynamics in the nanofabrication of metals, alloys, and semiconductors

In our group, we aim at creating functional materials through surface and shape control by designing dynamic processes across a wide range from the nanoscale to the millimeter scale.

We promote interdisciplinary research in fields such as material science, physical chemistry, interface science, and nonlinear science.
Based on the aforementioned research we pioneer materials science and engineering related to the creation and utilization of metal and semiconductor nanomaterials.

Main Research Areas:
> Formation of fine structures on semiconductor material surfaces via anodic oxidation
> Formation of corrosion- and wear-resistant multicomponent alloy thin films using micro-phase-separated liquids
> Creation of nano-helical materials of metals and alloys through self-organizing processes
